Six Work Packages

WP1 Project Management

The project manager and project coordinator from NTNU and the project leader and project administrator from IGS coordinate and manage project activities to ensure a high level of productivity and creativity.

WP2 Mobility

The primary activity of this project is mobility. During the project period, MA students, PhD students and researchers from both universities will visit Norway and Japan. Students may conduct research and participate in classes on relevant subjects. The exchange of researchers and professors may provide opportunities for educational exchange and holding international seminars as well as research activities.

WP3 Research and PhD Co-supervision

Professors at NTNU and Ochanomizu University will conduct joint supervision of MA theses and PhD projects. Co-supervised projects are granted opportunities for a research stay at partner universities organized under WP2 and are expected to develop new research projects to apply for other research funding.

WP4 Joint Curricular Development and Exchange

One of the objectives of this project is to develop high-quality research-based education. The educational exchange operated under WP2 and WP3 contributes to creating new curricular which have a particular focus on international perspectives.

WP5 Joint Publication and Annual Workshop

The academic research outcome of the INTPART project is going to be published as an anthology entitled Same but Different? Comparative Perspectives on Gender Equality and Diversity in Japan and Norway consisting of contributions by researchers from Japan and Norway. Workshops for this anthology publication project are organized annually.

WP6 Dissemination and Seminars

The dissemination plan includes various kinds of outreach activities which utilise existing research networks in Japan and Norway and the websites of both universities. Seminars are organized every year to share the outcome of this project with research communities and the public.
